Today we head to the shores of the lake of Neuchâtel in Switzerland for a sweet bachelorette party by the lake! The bride wanted to do something special to thank all of her girlfriends for their help with her wedding, so they threw this little soirée for a sweet dinner with dessert first! Each girl had her hair and makeup done for their own portrait session, and the evening was concluded with a candelit dinner, music, and skinny dipping in the lake.

from the planner, Loukia Arapian: “When Florence contacted me, she told me she wanted a different kind of bachelorette party. It’s quite unusual to have a bride to be taking the lead on her bachelorette party, but as she didn’t have a planner for her wedding, all of her girlfriends were helping her a lot and she wanted to thank and surprise them for her bachelorette party. She wanted to spend time with them, have time to talk to each of them and it was important to her that her girlfriends could also get to know one another as not all of them did before the wedding day.

Once the date was set, the venue search started! The venue needed to be beautiful, not more than 2 hours from Geneva, be quiet so they could talk at a normal volume and have the most gorgeous outdoor space. With this in mind, I started looking at several options…

A few weeks after, I visited my parents in the little village of Bevaix nestled between the vineyards and the lake. The lake of Neuchâtel is the biggest that is entirely in Switzerland and on this part, it has, in my opinion, the most beautiful scenery and beach.

We went for a stroll by the lake. It was a beautiful day in May and the second I was on that spot on the beach, I saw the entire event in my mind. I took lots of iPhone photos and send them to my client. Less than an hour later, she was sending me very happy emoji and confirmed the venue! Yes, we had a plan B at a restaurant nearby, but were hoping for the best and we did! That day in August was a perfect one.

Usually, for big parties I rent all the material, but as it was a small group, I borrowed the furniture from my parents home… and some other gorgeous details! As the bachelorette party should be all about the fun, the early dinner started with dessert, how great is that, right? It was followed by a portrait session for all the girls and the rest of the candle light dinner was served under the stars later on accompanied by music and a mid-night skinny dipping!

Having this party captured was part of the surprise for Florence friends. Once they arrived in town, they were all taking care of and had their hair and make-up done. The only thing they knew about the day, was that they needed to wear a blue outfit.

I think that the photos speak for themselves and show how perfect the day was and how happy everyone was.”
