Sno Cone Fix

The past few days have been really hot and I’m having a serious snow cone craving. If you love snow cones (like any sensible person should :p ) and you’re having a daytime wedding in a warm climate, it might be nice to cool down your guests with an updated version of this good old fashioned treat- snow cone cocktails! Yup, these adult slushies make the perfect party drink and have been gaining in popularity. Just make sure spoons are on hand so guests won’t have to worry about making a mess while enjoying their treat.

Of course, there’s also the all-time favourite way to cool down- with plain ole yummy, scrummy ice-cream! My favourite trend of incorporating this treat is having an ice-cream sundae bar instead of a dessert bar. You can keep it simple with a minimum of 2-3 basic flavours and go wild with the toppings using a wide array of choices like sprinkles, cherries, chocolate bits, cookie chunks, marshmallows, hot fudge and more. It’s like a Chilly Moos (local ice-cream parlour) heaven baby!

Other delights such as sorbets, wine pops and frozen cocktail pushpops are also a neat way of cooling down. Hit these links for some ideas and how-to’s:
