A Moroccan Wedding Blanket- known as  a ‘Handira’ is traditionally woven by the Berbers in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco. The bride’s female relatives labour over the task and the bride wears it as a type of cape after the wedding ceremony. It then comes to rest on the marriage bed to bestow good luck and fertility on the newlyweds.  This Handira would make an amazing ceremony backdrop or a stunning throw for the bride and groom chairs!
