This breathtaking affair, captured by Megan W Photography, is all the more impressive considering that the lovely couple, with the help of Eventos Artes Manuales, spent only two weeks planning all of the gorgeous details! Tucked away in the tropical paradise of Samana, in the Dominican Republic, guests were treated to a lavish all-white wedding ceremony followed by an intimate, seaside reception. Every single moment is a perfect vision of island romance!

From the bride: For our wedding, we wanted to focus on creating a vacation getaway experience for everyone, not just for Michael and I. We wanted it to be easy and exotic all at the same time, so, surrounded by our closest friends and loved ones, we flew down to the isolated region of the Dominican Republic called Samana for a week at the breath-taking Sublime Samana. We spent the week leading up to and after the wedding, basking in the turquoise water, snorkeling, exploring by catamaran and kayaking. By the time the week was over everyone was relaxed, happy and tan. Our only regret was wishing we could stay one more week!
For our wedding day, the goal was to achieve a seaside affair that was intimate and elegant, yet causal enough where you could kick back your shoes and dance the night away. Our inspiration was for the whole experience to be effortless and chic. We also wanted to utilize the natural elements surrounding us to enhance the gorgeous setting and the perfect romantic backdrop for our celebration.
As far as the decor for my ceremony and reception, they were transformed from my thoughts and my multiple photoshopped collages into reality by Paulette Rivadulla at Eventos Artes Manuales. We actually never met until my wedding day and planned all the details in about two weeks, which I understand is something unheard of for a destination wedding. I trusted her completely and my favorite part was seeing my vision come alive in our dreamy reception decor covered in gorgeous white flowers that were illuminated by candlelight, after which, our guests were treated to an exceptionally dazzling Dominican sunset.
It was important for our wedding to reflect our relaxed personality which is why I wanted to create an inviting affair for our guests to enjoy and to remember as a good time filled with love. At the end of the night, everybody was just happy to be there while making our day unforgettable, and even though we were only 35 guests, our energy rivaled that of a large wedding. In the end, our vision for a celebration of love and a reunion of family and friends came together perfectly and was captured beautifully by Megan at Megan W Photography and Adam Grumbo our videographer.
