Nearly everyone dreams of jetting off to a tropical paradise with the one they adore and that’s exactly what these two love birds did! There, to capture their sweet, intimate celebration, was the talented Lindsay A. Moleirinho of Photos By Lam on the beautiful island of Jamaica!

Tell us a bit about yourselves and your love story. Dave and I met while I was working at the local store that sells alcohol. He had just moved to the area and would come in and chat with me, but because I was talking to many of the people who came in, I didn’t really notice him. Not until he started coming in to buy one beer so he could talk to me. We’ve pretty much been inseparable ever since. After about 4 months of dating he asked for my dad’s blessing and we got engaged. We’re a pretty relaxed and easy going couple and when we thought about it, we realized that eloping in Jamaica totally suited us.

Why did you choose this location for your wedding? We chose to get married at Catcha Falling Star because we fell in love with the scenery, the cliffs, and the laid back pace of living.

What were some of your favorite planning details? I really loved planning every part of it! It was so much fun to sit down at the end of the day and work out the details and how they would all look together. One of my favorite parts was picking the location, what girl wouldn’t love dreaming of all the possible tropical destinations to have a wedding?

What were some of the unique characteristics about your wedding that made it your own? I think the most unique part about our wedding was that it was just the two of us. We love our families but decided it was more our style to just go by ourselves and have the time of our lives just enjoying each other. It worked out perfectly for us! We had a stress free day and had nothing but laughs and good times. It was also pretty funny to see random strangers coming to watch our wedding.

What advice do you have for couples who are currently planning a wedding? My best advice would be to do whatever makes the two of you happy, and don’t stress about the little things. It’s supposed to be a day of love and happiness, so don’t let anything get in the way of that. So what if it rains on your wedding day (happened to us, really wish it wouldn’t have rained out my curly hair but oh well), or your food isn’t originally what you were expecting, etc. Just remember to enjoy each other!
