from the photographer: “I photographed this shoot in late March at Glen Foerd Mansion on the Delaware. It was inspired by the stately and historic features of Glen Foerd and the charming ways old world style can inspire romantic aesthetics in modern times. Nearly the entire team of vendors was made up of local Central Pennsylvania /Philly & NJ wedding centered small businesses. We each offered our own take on the story and inspiration, which we hoped would inspire brides and couples to be bold in embracing inspiration and period vibes in a meaningful way. The two gowns by Pennsylvania based designer Barbara Kavchok both embodied a sense of composed drama that was at the heart of the feminine, old world style we aimed for. The styling by Joanna of Hazel Dust Studios offered a timeless, renaissance-esque feel that captured the details in a way I think brides would find exciting, yet thoughtful. The sketch of Glen Foerd by Dieu of Bid Adieu Studios, an Arkansas based wedding paperie & design studio, was the perfect, distinct touch that brought the story to paper in the loveliest way.”
