I adore bridal fashion and over the years I have seen many stunning collections, but few have left me breathless as this! The 2015 Anna Georgina Bridal Collection from South African designer Kobus Dippenaar, is truly the epitome of romantic sophistication.
The collection was inspired by the vintage 1920s era and continues Dippenaar’s trademark exploration between masculinity and femininity, between structure and fluidity. Deep necklines plunge into bias-cut satin skirts and mermaid silhouettes, and corseted bodices flow into layered skirts of lace, tulle and bejeweled satin. Sparkling crystal elements, hand embroidery, lace sleeves, tiny belts and silk petals accent and soften the bold lines of this collection.
One of the standout pieces of this collection is the ‘Jade’ gown (pictured first). Underneath the corseted bodice and multi-layered tulle skirt is a delicate lace body suit with a high neckline which can be removed to give the bride two different looks on her wedding day. Every detail is so perfectly dreamy!
