This charming couple and their adorable pup immediately won our hearts! The Audra Wrisley Photography team captured their sweet moments at a historic park in Barcelona, in a series of beautiful, light-filled images that will stay with us forever!
From Audra Wrisley Photography: This Barcelona engagement session embodies everything we adore about photographing love. One can simply not ask for more than a super sweet couple, gorgeous location, and dress provided by one of Europe’s most exquisite vintage stores.
When Elena and Ulises first became friends almost eight years ago, the Barcelona-based couple had no clue what an incredible journey of perseverance they had ahead of them. While both pursuing studies in the creative field, they met through mutual friends and developed a friendship that slowly grew into something more. As a native Italian, Elena is able to live and work anywhere in Europe, but Ulises is a Mexican citizen who needs a visa to stay. After many years of going back and forth between the continents, and mountains of paperwork, they decided to put an end to all the uncertainties and were engaged last fall.
For the shoot, we spent a lovely afternoon at the end of this summer with them and their quirky pup Otis, using the Parc del Laberint d’Horta as the perfect backdrop. Situated on a hill at the edge of the iconic mediterranean city, this park dates back all the way to 1791. As it is strenuous to reach, it still has a wonderful dreamy and relaxed atmosphere away from the large crowds downtown.
To match the timeless vibe of the location, Elena chose to wear a white skirt and gown from local vintage store L’Arca. This boutique vintage store is tucked away in the narrow streets of the Gotico neighborhood, and is most known for providing the jaw dropping gown that Kate Winslet wore in The Titantic. The story goes that not long after the store had opened, “an American” had come in and purchased several pieces. It wasn’t until years later that the owner of the store received an envelope including tickets to the movie’s premiere in Los Angeles, thanking them for the dresses that gained world fame soon after!
