There are some really unique places in the world, and the Paint Mines in Colorado are definitely right up there. Filled with lovely pastel shades of rock, they make the perfect backdrop for some amazing artwork! We love this beautiful inspiration sent to us by Andrea Rodway – enjoy!

from the photographer, Andrew Rodway: “This dreamy editorial took place at one of Colorado’s hidden secrets, the Paint Mines. Every view from the Paint Mines is absolutely gorgeous, I immediately fell in love with the colors and textures of this location and we are so excited to bring it to life!
We wanted the location to speak for itself, highlighting the many small details in each color that the Paint Mines provides. We chose a color palate that would add to the beauty of the location; one that was effortless and natural. Using a soft blush as our base color, we added accents of green to add depth, while darker tones of black were added to the tablescape providing a modern twist to the romantic scenery.

Our shoot was designed behind the intricate and dreamlike blush gown from WinsDesign. The tulle gown flowed effortlessly and the subtle color popped against the ombré color palate of the Paint Mines. For our bride, we chose a very soft look for her hair & makeup, with rosy cheeks and a classic yet modern soft curl adorned with a beautiful rose gold hair piece designed by Kata Banko Couture. Susie Saltsman’s stunning rose gold ring provided the most stunning addition to our vision. Lummé Creations created a bouquet with texture and structure using subtle pastel colored flowers mixed with some darker blooms and blooming branches and a small touch of cherry blossoms were added as well. At the time magnolia was in bloom and it fit perfectly to the theme. Dancing fritillaria mixed with lavender colored fine sweet peas created the soft and delicate feel. Charming and dainty hellebore was added to bring more movement, deeper color, and interest to the intricate bouquet. The stationery from Pink Champagne Paper was done on soft handmade paper in hues of blush and cream, and accented with delicate textured florals to tie in with our soft palette.

The tablescape was inspired in whimsical tones as plush pillows in eclectic textures surrounded the table inviting the viewer to a dreamy picnic surrounded by the powdery hues. The blooms danced in the breeze as the eccentric personal cakes centered the place settings flanked by metallic flatware that reflected the beauty of the space. I loved being able to work with this amazing team of vendors. They truly brought my vision to life!”
