The sunshine-filled images of this Dominican Republic wedding are sure to get you over the mid-week slump and maybe even leave you wistfully looking forward to a long weekend at the beach (guilty as charged). I am in complete awe over how seamlessly the purple and blue palette here is integrated into the styling, in a very chic, understated way that still adds some vibrancy to match the tropical setting. We have Michael Rousseau Photography to thank for sending this elegant, destination wedding our way and the cherry on top of the cake is the special offer he’s given us the scoop on, read below for more!

From Michael Rousseau Photography: Cara and Jason’s wedding took place in the Dominican Republic. They have been friends for 10 years and dating for 6. The destination wedding offered a beautiful get away for their close family and friends.

Roughly 60 guests were at attendance, which is quite large for a destination wedding. Which shows how much love and support they had for the day. They organized a welcome breakfast that was in a spectacular room for all the guests. The following day they had the wedding on the beach, Cara’s uncle played the saxophone during the ceremony, her aunt made a traditional rum cake and boxed it for the guest favours. We stayed on the resort for the portraits however, you would have never known because the resort is so large. We were able to find areas that were vacant and unique around the resort.

Great news for you readers – Michael is offering 10% off his destination package price to the first ten couples who book him for weddings that are taking place outdoors, outside of Toronto (not including accommodation and travel). Also for his local weddings in Toronto(GTA) he is willing to offer 10% off his packages for the first ten couples to book him for 2015!
