Any wedding where the groom tears up at the first sight of his bride, is always going to be a winner in my books! As if that weren’t enough, this Montego Bay, Jamaica affair from Nadia D Photography is the ultimate in tropical elegance with vivid colours, modern, chic décor and a stunning setting! The bar is set high on style as well, featuring one very glamorous couple and an equally sophisticated bridal party.
From the bride: Our wedding was held on the Croquet lawn at the Half Moon Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica. We always knew we wanted to get married in Jamaica. I was born and raised there and always dreamed of getting married in my home country. When we visited the Half Moon, we knew it was the right place. The scenery was quintessentially Caribbean with the palm trees and the clear, blue ocean in the background. It was also a blank canvas, with nothing to constrain our creativity.
We wanted our wedding to feel like a tropical wedding. To us, that meant finding the perfect outdoor venue. We also wanted a joyful, party atmosphere, not a formal affair. To accomplish that, we had food stations not a served meal and we kept the music flowing all night. I definitely think we accomplished the fun, tropical wedding we were going for.
We had a cocktail hour immediately following the reception. Caribbean-inspired hors d’oeurvres were served and we had a steel band playing traditional music, as well as men walking on stilts like you would see at carnival in the Caribbean.
