“In order for the light to shine so brightly, the darkness must be present” – Francis Bacon
From Lauren Field Design: We were instantly drawn to the beautiful worn features of the industrial interior. Light casting through the surrounding windows added the most graceful highlights to this setting.
We were inspired by the intensity of crepe, sea green, umber and cerulean. The slender stems of hyacinths, ranunculus, tulips and lysianthis extend loosely from the carved vessel slightly touching the salvaged wood door dining table. The brush stroked blue salad plates and lustrous rose gold flatware were placed on custom Lucite placemats adorned with pristine white calligraphy. As blush colored sea stones were scattered along the table, vibrant green palm leaves anchored the soft tinted blue and pink crystal glasses.
The metal beams and exposed weathered brick presented a natural background to radiate the romantic and elegant features of the two tiered cake. The waterfall of white fondant flowers elevated the fading blue hue surrounding the mineral textured design.
To spotlight the eternal features of her beaded gown, the gold candlesticks were positioned on the raw concrete to deliver light to the mystery filled shadows. As her gown cascades to the ground, light showcases the many angles of her body that carry a charming presence.
