Hope you guys enjoyed a fantastic weekend! Today’s inspiration board is my take on the refined woodland theme which is one of my favourite trends for this year.
One of the wonderful aspects about a forest setting or theme is the fact that the neutral , wooden details used in your décor will fit with almost any colour palette. Here, I went with a primarily red and gold combination (probably still under the influence of the festive season which ended far too soon!).

Overall, I placed a heavier emphasis on the refined rather than rustic elements of the theme but I think the result still embodies the romance and natural prettiness of a forest wedding. I don’t know about you, but I would love to see some styled photo-shoots around this theme for 2014- it would be Pinterest heaven!!
