Today’s bride and groom opted for an elegant celebration, designed to reflect the alluring, tropical setting of Nicaragua. The results are impeccable, showcasing modern, chic invitations by Minted and a lush green and white palette with the most dazzling blooms. From the Bride: Arturo and I met at our apartment building in downtown Los Angeles. He lived on the 14th floor and I lived on the 9th. The first time we met was at our building’s clubhouse where we instantly sparked up a conversation. We became friends immediately after and would hang out with other neighbors. At the time we were both dating someone else. I later moved out of the building but kept in touch with him as friends. Three years later we reconnected and started dating. After a few years of happily dating, Arturo surprised me with a helicopter ride to Catalina Island, where he proposed.
We decided to exchange vows in Nicaragua, where the majority of my family lives. I always knew I wanted to get married somewhere exotic and tropical and Nicaragua, where I was born, fit the bill. I wanted to incorporate the beautiful natural surroundings. Everything from the invitations to the reception room kept the modernly chic aesthetic that encompassed the tropical feel of the locale.
