Nothing sets us in wanderlust mode quite like uncovering scenic, tucked away gems just waiting to be explored. Such is the case with Santo Domingo’s Colonial Zone, a small historic town placed on the World Heritage List by UNESCO and captured here on film by Taken By Sarah Photography. We also couldn’t be more delighted to see these two familiar faces in their sweet love session- local Dominican Republic photographers Niko and Asia of Asia Pimentel Photography (you can see some of their work here).

From Taken By Sarah Photography: This couple’s session in the Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic was an absolute dream to photograph, mainly because Niko and Asia are photographers themselves and know just how to be completely and beautifully themselves on camera. There are an endless amount of beautiful spots in this area, but we chose just a few that would be really impactful and have beautiful light. The pigeons were my favorite part of the shoot, and the secret to getting those shots was to have my very brave friend standing just out of the frame with bread crumbs to make move en mass!!
