Timeless Black-Tie Pelican Club Wedding in Jupiter, Florida with Blue Floral Details

Lindsay and Lee’s coastal celebration at Pelican Club blended timeless formality with a modern, design-forward twist. A classic black-and-white palette – sleek tuxedos, elegant black gowns, and a sculptural basque-waist ball gown – set the stage for all-white florals of roses and orchids. Their Jewish ceremony unfolded outdoors with sweeping views of the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse, followed by a reception framed in candlelight and refined textures.

To weave in a sense of place, the couple carried a delicate blue floral motif from their invitation liner into day-of details – charger patterns, escort accents, and a custom monogrammed dance floor that echoed the ocean just beyond the windows. Thoughtful welcome totes, heirloom-worthy vow books, and a beloved golden retriever cameo brought heart and personality to the day. Curating a vendor team they deeply connected with, Lindsay and Lee created a wedding that felt effortless, elegant, and entirely theirs.

“We wanted our wedding to be upscale, formal and traditional, but bring in a modern twist.” – the bride

We wanted our wedding to be upscale, formal and traditional, but bring in a modern twist. We achieved this by having our bridal party in traditional black gowns and black tuxedos. The groom wore a custom black tuxedo and the bride wore a traditional basque waist white ball gown. The florals were all varying shades and styles of whites with greenery to accent them. We had a traditional Jewish ceremony outside overlooking the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse. To bring in our modern twist and incorporate the beautiful Florida inlet setting, we used a blue floral accent throughout our wedding. This started with our custom floral invitation envelope liner and continued into the decor at the wedding. The chargers had a similar floral pattern and we designed a custom dance floor wrap with our monogram and floral design that matched our invitation liner. This floral element that we carried through our wedding allowed us to tie in the Florida blue ocean from the venue and gave our event a modern twist on what was otherwise a timeless elegant affair.

Lindsay and Lee met during the summer of 2022. Although Lee grew up in Florida, he had been living in Atlanta for several years after attending Law School there. Lindsay moved to Miami from New York on a bit of a whim in 2021 during the tail end of covid. After deciding that Florida was the place Lee wanted to settle down in, he moved to Miami and matched with Lindsay on a dating app literally the day after moving. Having not even unpacked his clothes or started his job yet, he asked Lindsay out on a date a week later and I guess you can say the rest is history. That was the start of their inseparable love story. Knowing one of his best friend’s wedding was quickly coming up just a few weeks after they met, in one of Lindsay’s favorite places, Colorado, he asked her to join him in attending the wedding. It was an incredible weekend away together, surrounded by so much love in the beautiful mountains of Steamboat Springs, and that is where they truly fell in love. Lindsay returned home from that trip and knew Lee was the one she would marry one day. A year later in October, 2023 on a trip to Charleston, SC with their dog Madison, Lee got down on one knee on Longitude Lane and asked Lindsay to marry him.

Upon returning to Florida, they wasted no time in starting to plan their dream wedding. After searching online for the perfect venue in South Florida, they found the Pelican Club in Jupiter, Florida. They went to tour the venue the next day and immediately knew that was the place they wanted to get married. They then started building their dream team of vendors, interviewing many from each category until they found the perfect ones. They hand selected every vendor to fit their style, vision and vibe, and they attribute this in large part to the success of their wedding. It was very important to them that they forged a personal connection with each vendor they selected, which made their wedding day even more incredible having this amazing team there to support them and capture every moment. From planning to executing their flawless event, every member of their wedding vendor team played a crucial role in making their dream wedding come true.
