So far, for this Ceremony series, we’ve focused on non-traditional readings – for a change here’s a classic, biblical reading  – one which I used in my wedding as well. Marriage is not easy, especially when you’re a very strong-willed person, (guilty as charged!) so I often have to go back to this verse in my head. I think it’s such a great idea to have readings which you can use long after the wedding!

Wedding Reading: 1 Corinthians 13:4–8aEngagement Session via Once Wed {Jose Villa Photography}

1 Corinthians 13:4–8a (New International Version)

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
