Our first tropical wedding of the year is the loveliest celebration at the Villa Montaña Beach Resort in Puerto Rico captured by Vanessa Velez Photography. The bride and groom, outfitted in a Bliss By Monique Lhuillier wedding dress and J.Crew tux respectively, made for quite a glamorous pair as they exchanged vows in a romantic, gazebo ceremony before their family and friends. Every detail delivers up such beautiful inspiration- from the soft, muted palette to the endearing, rustic touches!
From the bride: In March we got married at the Villa Montaña Beach Resort in Isabela, Puerto Rico. Being from New York, we both have enjoyed traveling to Puerto Rico over the past years for an escape to the warm weather and beautiful beaches. We considered Puerto Rico a special getaway, and could not think of a better place we would want to get married. Planning a destination wedding was much easier than many might think! We wanted to plan not only a wedding that our guests would remember forever, but a vacation for them as well! We did mostly all the planning via email and social media (Pinterest boards!) with the wedding planners at Villa Montaña. This helped us to be able to convey our vision to them without actually having to be there. I was so lucky when they referred Vanessa Velez to be our photographer! I fell in love with the authenticity of her work! On our wedding day she was an absolute delight to work with. Our photo sessions never felt awkward or rushed, rather she let us be ourselves (with a few pointers!), have fun and feel comfortable. At our reception Vanessa surprised me with a slide show of some of the images she had taken earlier in the day. Seeing how she was able to capture our love and happiness brought tears to my eyes! Our wedding was such an amazing time, and we were so lucky to have her there to capture it for our memories forever!
