Patrice and Adrian are from Ireland, and decided to this session on one of their visits to the country that would be their wedding destination (Portugal). Their outfits worked perfectly with the colorful background of this area in Vilamoura!

How did you both meet?

Our very first meeting was in Dublin Airport at Gate 426! We were both on our way to the States for the summer holidays when we noticed each other in the security line! We recognized each other to see from photographs as we had a mutual friend in common. I was too shy to say hello but luckily Adrian wasn’t and when we met again at the boarding gate we immediately hit it off. After that first chance encounter, we both definitely felt a spark and kept in touch before we had our first date back in Dublin that Halloween and the rest, as they say, is history!

How did the proposal happen?

We got engaged at Halloween, 4 years after our first date, in the G Hotel in Galway. We had just returned from an amazing year of working and travelling in Australia and were settling back to normality. We were getting ready to go down to the restaurant for dinner when Adrian took my hand and suddenly went down on one knee! I wasn’t expecting the proposal in the slightest so it was a complete shock with lots of tears of joy! It was so special and romantic, I couldn’t imagine it any other way!

Tell us about your engagement ring and outfits!

Adrian proposed with a token ring and we then designed my engagement ring together in Bespoke Diamonds, Dublin. It is a 3 stone diamond ring, with a centre oval diamond and a round diamond either side. The diamonds are set in white gold with a yellow gold band. We both chose classic yellow gold rings as our wedding bands. My dress is from Lavish Alice, shoes are Dune Bridal, bag is from Oliver Bonas and my bracelet is from Tiffany’s. Adrian’s outfit is from Next, shoes are River Island and watch is Hugo Boss.
