A Timeless Blue & White Vineyard Wedding at Yonah Mountain Vineyards

Set among the rolling vines of Yonah Mountain Vineyards, Chelsea and Alexander’s wedding was the epitome of timeless elegance with a fresh, modern touch. Their vision—a refined palette of soft blues and crisp whites—mirrored the open sky above and the natural beauty surrounding them, creating a celebration that felt both elevated and effortlessly relaxed. With thoughtful details and understated design, the day unfolded as a perfect balance of classic sophistication and warm, welcoming energy.

At the heart of their story is a love rooted in adventure. From spontaneous travels to a beautifully imperfect proposal in London—complete with an unexpected staircase detour—their relationship has always been defined by joy, authenticity, and shared experiences. That same spirit carried into their wedding day, where every moment felt intentional yet unforced, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the celebration.

From a vineyard ceremony framed by lush hydrangeas and peonies to a reception layered with soft linens, gold accents, and glowing candlelight, every detail reflected Chelsea and Alexander’s vision of quiet luxury. The evening carried on with heartfelt moments, lively music, and an unforgettable after-party surprise that kept the celebration going long into the night.

“Effortless, timeless, and filled with meaning—every detail reflected a love built on shared adventure.”

THE PLANNING

Wedding Colors: light blue and white

Design Vision: The design vision centered on a timeless summer vineyard aesthetic, where effortless elegance met the natural romance of the setting. A refined palette of crisp whites and layered shades of blue echoed the open sky and rolling vines, creating a look that felt both fresh and enduring. Lush florals, soft linens, and thoughtful details were intentionally understated, allowing the beauty of the vineyard to take center stage. The result was a celebration that felt relaxed yet polished — a classic vineyard wedding infused with a breezy summer sensibility and an air of quiet sophistication.

Proposal Story: A shared love of travel has always been central to their relationship, so when it came time to propose, Alexander knew it had to happen somewhere meaningful. He chose the lobby of one of Chelsea’s favorite hotels in London — a place that embodied their shared sense of adventure and love for exploring the world together. As they descended the grand staircase, Alexander delivered the heartfelt speech he had carefully planned. But in a moment that perfectly captured the joy and spontaneity of the proposal, he realized he’d forgotten that in England, the first floor isn’t the ground floor. With more stairs still ahead, he seamlessly improvised, filling the extra steps with words straight from the heart before finally asking her to marry him.

THE FASHION

Wedding Gown: The bride wore The Atwood by Justin Alexander Signature, a striking yet understated gown that perfectly reflected her vision of clean, modern elegance. Crafted in luminous satin, the strapless design featured a sculptural cat-eye draped neckline and a sleek fit-and-flare silhouette that felt both timeless and fashion-forward. Effortlessly refined with a touch of glamour, the gown made a confident statement without ever overpowering the day.

Bridesmaids Dresses: The bridesmaids wore matching light blue satin gowns from Show Me Your Mumu, creating a soft, romantic palette that complemented the vineyard setting beautifully. While unified in color and fabric, each dress featured a unique neckline, allowing every bridesmaid’s personal style to shine through. The mix-and-match silhouettes added dimension and movement, striking the perfect balance between cohesion and individuality for a timeless yet modern bridal party look.

Groomsmen / Groom Attire: The groom wore a timeless black tuxedo, elevated with a shawl collar jacket that subtly set his look apart. His groomsmen complemented him in classic black tuxedos with traditional peak lapels, each finished with a black bow tie for a cohesive, polished appearance. The contrast in lapel styles added quiet distinction, creating a sharp and sophisticated menswear moment that felt both classic and thoughtfully curated.

THE DETAILS

Food & Drink: Food and drink were designed to feel both celebratory and approachable. The couple’s signature cocktail, a “Rivera” Spritz — a classic Aperol spritz — was inspired by a name the bride spotted on a menu while traveling and instantly loved, making it a subtle nod to their shared love of exploration. Dinner was served buffet-style, encouraging guests to relax and enjoy the evening, with a thoughtfully curated spread of crowd-pleasing favorites. Passed and plated offerings included flavorful empanadas and crab cakes, followed by hearty mains like prime rib that balanced elevated taste with warm, generous hospitality.

Florals & Decor: The ceremony took place in the heart of the vineyard, with sweeping rows of vines creating a naturally romantic backdrop. The couple exchanged vows surrounded by a semi-circle of lush florals, designed in a classic palette of blue and white with soft touches of greenery. Hydrangeas and peonies added fullness and texture, framing the moment in a way that felt both intentional and organic.

At the reception, the design layered elegance with visual interest through thoughtful contrasts. A mix of patterned blue linens and solid textiles dressed the tables, paired with gold flatware, gold chargers, and blue water goblets for a refined yet relaxed tablescape. The staircase serving as the reception backdrop was accented with flowing greenery, drawing the eye upward and grounding the space in natural beauty. Guests were seated at a mix of long estate tables and round tables, complemented by both tall and low floral centerpieces, creating depth, movement, and a sense of effortless sophistication throughout the space.

Cake: The couple chose a simple yet refined two-tier cutting cake, finished in all white with subtle texture for an understated, timeless look. Guests were then treated to a layered cake offering the best of both worlds — rich chocolate and classic vanilla — striking the perfect balance between crowd-pleasing flavors.
