What a fun, sunny day in Mexico! This wedding was photographed by Bajan Wed Vendor Jess Leigh, and looks to be filled with fun and happiness. And how cute is that donkey toting drinks?? We love it, and wish we were there!
from the photographer, Jess Leigh: “Candice & Tommy were married in Lo de Marcos, Nayarit, Mexico at the beautiful Hacienda Antigua estate. It’s rare that we have summer weddings (August) here in this part of Mexico because the weather can be so unpredictable and extremely warm. Candice and Tommy had recently moved to the Virgin Islands for the groom’s career and knew the weather in their part of the Caribbean would be just as hot as Mexico- but harder to get all their family to! So they braved the heat, humidity and threat of rain to bring 60 of their closest friends and family to Mexico for their celebration. The day started with a huge storm and heavy rains but luckily they cleared just as set up for the wedding started. Yazmin and her team set the grounds of Hacienda Antigua so beautifully for Candice and Tommy. The aisle was lined with pampas grass and hints of the bride’s choice color, blue. The couple chose an intimate bridal party, the bride’s best friend acted as Maid of Honor and the groom’s brother as Best Man. Two of the couple’s close friends officiated the ceremony and the bride’s brother walked her down the aisle. Cocktail hour was on the lawn with a special appearance by a tequila totting donkey. The sun set just as dinner started and the couple spent the night dancing outside.”
