Ok so I haven’t put up our Christmas tree yet. I know- the horror! I was living in a blissful bubble until I admitted that misdeed to my mom the other day and the look on her face was enough to yank me back to reality.
So yesterday, as I traipsed through town battling Christmas-frenzied shoppers, scouring the stores for decorations, I once again flirted with the idea of going with a different colour palette- like a regal purple or pretty in pink.
Cave Shepherd (to my knowledge) was the first store in Barbados to introduce huge displays of decorations dedicated to a wide variety of colours outside of the traditional red and green just a few years ago. Ever since their bold arrays burst onto the scene I’ve been fascinated with this idea of changing it up a bit but never found the willpower to turn away from my usual comfort zone of red green and bits of gold.
Maybe someday, for now I’ll just have to be content with drooling over the possibilities.
