Today’s lovely bride and groom chose to tie the knot before their nearest and dearest in an elegant, understated beach wedding affair. Judging by these beautiful captures at their scenic venue in Punta Cana, you would never guess that the joyous occasion nearly didn’t come off as planned due to the threat of a sudden storm. Luckily, everything worked out in the end and we have Taken By Sarah Photography to thank for showing us that even if the weather isn’t perfect, you can still have the most amazing photos for your special day!

From Taken By Sarah Photography: Bri and Sean had a very intimate wedding with only 7 of their close family members at Zoëtry Agua in Punta Cana. They wanted to escape the pressure of planning the perfect wedding for their many friends and family in the states, and instead have a serene and relaxing time at the most beautiful resort in Punta Cana. Right when the wedding was starting, a storm started to whip up around us and the wind became quite strong. We were a bit worried that it was going to pour on us, but it held off and allowed us to get some great moody beach portraits before the deluge. Bri chose her wedding gown to be light and comfortable in the tropical heat and I absolutely loved the unique detail of it. I made one of her bouquets with flowers found on the resort grounds since she wanted a more modern and organic looking bouquet than she was able to find on the island, and Sisay Floral Design did a beautiful job on the ceremony site. I loved Bri’s attention to little details like the vow books, and I think they successfully had a most lovely little wedding that everyone enjoyed immensely!
