Who doesn’t love a luxurious wedding along the ocean? Even better when the couple manages to pull it off during the COVID pandemic. We love the lovely architecture and the thatched buildings that lend themselves to the atmosphere of this wedding. And how cute is this couple?

from the photographer: “This wedding was photographed in July 2020 at Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya. It was originally scheduled for May but had to be rescheduled due to Covid-19. The bride and groom met in college in 2012 through mutual friends. They wanted an exotic location where all of their close friends and family could relax and have fun for the whole week. Jessica and Max love traveling, and especially love the beach, so they wanted to incorporate that into their wedding experience. Their florals really played into the beach vibe with the monstera leaves and Anthurium (flamingo lilies). Their ceremony was held on site at the resort at a location known as Lagoon Arch. We took their beach photos along Akumal beach, and although there wasn’t much of a sunset due to some rain, we still took amazing photos among the beach cabanas, sand, and waves.”
