Intimate Winter Elopement in Finnish Lapland Beneath the Arctic Sky
High above the Arctic landscape of Levi, where snow-covered fjells disappear into the horizon and the winter sun turns untouched snow to glitter, Euge and Kevin stepped into a destination wedding experience shaped entirely by the magic of Finnish Lapland. The real-life couple from Argentina became the heart of this editorial, trading the expected for something beautifully remote – a reindeer sleigh through the wilderness, private vows atop a fjell, and an intimate celebration beneath the Nordic winter sky.
Every element of the design took its cue from the landscape. Moss-toned stationery echoed the deep greens of the northern forests, delicate foiling mimicked sunlight dancing across the snow, and translucent glass details reflected the crystalline beauty of ice. Even the florals remained soft and organic, allowing the extraordinary Arctic surroundings to become part of the design rather than simply its backdrop. After traveling through the snowy wilderness by reindeer sleigh, Euge and Kevin arrived at Niesti, a secluded mountaintop venue overlooking the vast landscape. There, surrounded by little more than wind, snow, and endless views, they exchanged letters and promises in a ceremony created entirely for two.
As darkness settled over the fjell, their closest friends joined them for an intimate candlelit dinner. With the mountaintop reserved exclusively for their group, a private chef prepared a five-course menu of local Finnish ingredients from a small wilderness hut while hundreds of candles illuminated the snow beneath the moonlight. The following day brought a playful final chapter as Euge and Kevin laced up their skates on a tiny ice rink hidden among the trees. Together, the moments tell a different kind of destination wedding story – one where luxury is found not in excess, but in privacy, experience, thoughtful design, and the rare opportunity to feel completely alone together somewhere extraordinary.
