Elegance and romance defined the Victorian era. With styling inspired by that period, today’s shoot aims to marry the best parts of the Victorian era into a modern wedding inspiration. We love the lush details, pared with the most modern and minimal that make this inspiration feel truly fit for the year 2020.

from the creative director: “They say Red is the most romantic color of all. Seeing red just makes you feel overflowing passion and love… which is what inspired this shoot. Since we’re talking about romance, what better way to represent it than the Victorian era? Weddings are all about beauty and love while the Victorian era embraced the pursuit of beauty both in life and in art. We wanted to present a romantic Victorian era in a way that its passion and aesthetic will be felt through modern elements.

Radostina Photography gave us the aesthetic that we were going for in her minimalist and artsy shots. The main colors used were lush reds which are the main focus for the theme. These colors are seen in the gorgeous Party Crush Studio velvet table runners and the romantic, vintage, and wild Rust and Flourish florals. This shoot doesn’t just aim to inspire, but it also aims to show that to achieve an elegant theme like a romantic Victorian era, one doesn’t need flamboyant and extravagant design materials. The gold and wood Lux Event Rentals furniture, the most fitting calligraphy by Curved and Co, and Batter Up Cakerys masterpiece are proof that it can be achieved with just the right pieces. Lastly, the bridal look was beautifully coordinated to fit the modern Victorian aesthetic. Her dreamy, fluffy, and flowy Brides on Hartz wedding gown gave the fantasy of a bride running around a garden of roses on a Victorian castle. It’s always nice to see a fusion of different times. For people looking for a romantic, dreamy, but at the same time modern, minimalist, and contemporary wedding, this shoot shall fuel lots of ideas and inspiration”
