From Cedarwood Weddings: Unique and colorful cultures around the world are the basis of our Nomad Wedding inspiration pulling together some of our favorite elements and treasures from travels in Latin America, India and Tibet.
An authentic “belt-loom” woven wool strap by the native people of the Andes becomes part of the nuptials for a hand-tying ceremony. A hand-painted tea table from Nepal is used to display the wildly popular Indian confection – Donuts – that take place of a traditional wedding cake. Favorite fruit and spice-infused beverages from travels in Indo-china are shared with guests, alongside a regionally inspired menu.
Cedarwood designers used color and texture to create an eclectic, reception table. Vintage colored glassware, terra cotta vases and earthenware pottery from World Market, aptly named “Nomad”, oozes earthy, global style.
Everything has a wonderful colorful patina and although nothing ‘matches’ it is coordinated and festive, down to the bold gold-foiled paper goods and colorful flower decorations adorning rustic Mexican altar gates.
A Sarah Seven gown of layered butter cream and nude lace, is the perfect attire for a bride’s twirl in our southern venue’s sun-lit summer meadow.
