This week, the world mourned the passing of legendary fashion designer Oscar de la Renta. De la Renta, a native of the Dominican Republic, began his career in the 1950’s and quickly rose to fame as an impeccable haute-couture designer. Unsurprisingly, he has been a favourite among brides since the launch of his first bridal collection in 2006. In fact, just recently, internationally acclaimed human-rights lawyer Amal Clooney, chose the designer to dress her, for her walk down the aisle to actor, George Clooney. The dress at the bottom of this post is similar to the custom creation made just for her.
