Here are some details that came out of our interview with owner Marcus Morris on booking Golden Grove as your wedding venue (previous post here):
Use of the Venue:
The venue may be used to host both ceremonies and receptions.
Maximum Number of guests:
The venue can accommodate over 200 guests.
On booking the venue in advance:
It is recommended that you book as early as possible to enable viewings by associated parties and planning; usually several months in advance but there is some flexibility in late bookings subject to availability.
Venue Cost:
$5,000 with overnight accommodation.
$4,000 without accommodation.
Included in the cost:
A decked tent, tables, chairs and linens for 140 guests (extra tent, decking etc. can be acquired at additional cost). The Plantation House is also available for the couple and their bridal party to get ready in.
Required Deposit:
A non-refundable deposit of BDS $1,000.00 is required to secure your booking with the balance due at least 30 days before the event. There is also a refundable damages deposit f BDS $1,000.
No Hidden Charges:
There is no charge if the wedding runs past the allotted time.
Services provided:
For small intimate weddings of about 60-70 people, a complete package is offered with the services of wedding planner, caterer etc. at the cost of approximately BDS $90.00 per person.
Privacy and Exclusivity:
You have exclusive use of the venue and property as no other wedding will be booked on the same date.
For any problems which may arise on your big day:
Mr. Ken Gibson of Golden Grove Great Events Inc. will be on hand to assist.
Experience:
Golden Grove has been in operation as a wedding venue for approximately 5 years.
Emergencies:
Wedding parties which are small in number can be accommodated indoors in the rare case of severely bad weather.
Facilities and Amenities:
The Great House has 4 bedrooms and two suites. The property is 3.5 acres with two spacious gardens, two gazebos and a pool.

Golden, Grove, St. Phillip
Directions: From Six Roads, follow Highway 5. Turn left at the Hilda Skeene School and pass King George V Park on your left. Follow the road sharply to the right. When the road straightens out with cane fields either side turn right signposted Golden Grove. Golden Grove House is the second property on the left.
