Whenever the name Live View Studios comes up, you know you’re in for a huge treat. The fabulous husband and wife duo of Brent and Anna, exclusive members of our Fine Art Photography Guide, are once again gracing the blog with magic from their Film Gathering Retreat (the last one is also a must-see).

Unfolding on the rugged, mountainous terrain of North Carolina in a rich, earthy palette, the scene is set for an intimate escape with textured organic details. We’re swooning over the infusion of romantic touches from vintage candelabras to elegant, gilded accents, alongside exquisite florals from Amy Lynne Originals. To top it all off, the bride absolutely stuns in a classic wedding gown by Sarah Seven, elegantly paired with a sweeping Sarah Janks skirt and gauzy, lace mantilla veil by Girl With A Serious Dream. Delicate jewelry from Lindsay Marie Design and hair and makeup styled to perfection by the pros at Shear Shakti complete her look perfectly. Get ready to be completely smitten with each and every frame of this dazzling photoshoot!

From Live View Studios: ‘Come live with me, and be my love. And we will all the pleasures prove, that valleys, groves, hills and fields, woods, or steepy mountain yields’ – The Passionate Shepherd to His Love, Christopher Marlowe

This ancient poem set the mood for our bridal inspiration in the mountains, filled with muted colors and drawing inspiration from the elements found in the mountains: water, wood, stone, earth, and wind. Hand lettered slate was used for the quote above, as well as for individual place cards on the table for two set among the mossy rocks, bare trees, and fallen leaves. The sounds of the rushing mountain stream filled the air where these two lovers would dine at a simple but elegant table. Golden tones from the yellow hops and deep purples add richness to this winter palette. As our bride wandered down the road leading from her home to the place she would meet her love, she carried her fresh bouquet of woodland-inspired blooms, feathery greens, and winter berries. It was a long and thoughtful walk as the mountain breezes swirled around her. The wind blew the last few leaves off the trees and hinted at a chill that was coming in that night. She hardly noticed, with her warm heart filled with love for what was coming. She donned her veil, and there by the place where the water rushed against the edges of the damp earth, she waited for him.

This shoot was part of The Film Gathering, an intimate retreat for film photographers held in the mountains of North Carolina. We paired with Michelle Wright Events and many other talented vendors to create this bridal inspiration from the surroundings where we were staying.
