What a fun way to celebrate a 10 year anniversary together, with a little road trip through California complete with documentation along the way! These two started out in Palm Springs and then took a trip through the desert to San Diego! So fun!
from the photographer: “Jenny and Tom wanted to celebrate their 10 year wedding anniversary by taking a trip to California! They did a formal vow renewal ceremony with their two sweet little boys in Canada but now it was time for romantic trip for just the two of them. They started in Palm Springs at the beautiful Alcazar hotel where they spent the day lounging in the sun by the pool and then took a road trip through the desert and up to San Diego to hit the beach. It was the perfect combination of romance, relaxation and fun!”
from Jenny: “My husband and I are from Canada, and our wedding anniversary is in November. This is quite a chilly month here so for our ten year anniversary we knew we wanted to celebrate somewhere warm. Sunny California was our first choice and we are so glad we went! When planning our trip I knew I wanted to stay somewhere with the Spanish Colonial influence as I love the architecture. The greenery, flowers and palm trees everywhere just made us feel like we were in an absolute oasis. We ended up booking two boutique hotels; the Alcazar in Palm Springs and Hotel Marisol Coronado in San Diego. I knew I wanted our 10 year anniversary documented by a film photographer, and I immediately knew Minted Photography was the perfect fit! She was so much fun and made all of our photos look like a postcard. I also had the most amazing hair and make up team from Sitting Pretty Beauty Team. They made me feel so beautiful! We are so grateful for the wonderful time we had in California and encourage all couples to celebrate big milestones in their relationship! 🙂
“Our Italian elopement was truly everything we wanted and more. We were seeking a destination that held a unique significance for us—a place we could return to on future anniversaries. We visited Siena last year and happened across a vintage shop called Aloe & Wolf. The woman there told us she knew of a dainty daisy dress they might still have available if I could return the next day. So we did, and I got to try the dress on in a secondary location in between the rows and rows of vintage clothes, no change room. Within a minute of having the dress on I knew it was the one! Returning this year for our elopement trip felt so surreal, everything was going perfectly until we saw the forecast. Knowing our wedding date would include rain, we were able to get creative (traveling with your photographer is a major plus!) and did a stunning garden shoot in Lake Como. At our XIII Century Tower Villa we were in awe of the wisteria arch in full bloom. It was pure magic underneath, reciting our vows, while the light rain added to the charm of the Tuscan countryside. We treasured the simplicity of being present, savoring every moment together at our own pace.”
