This brightly colored, art inspired bridal editorial is just what we need for this spring day! We love the softness and the way the food colors and florals blend together so seamlessly as well into the whole decor scheme. And you can’t beat that view either!
from the photographer: “Wedding days can be filled with daunting tasks to complete, things to accomplish, and people to feed. We hope this editorial can inspire brides to take a couple moments to themselves, or with a few close people to breathe in the midst of everything, playing on the idea of the bride doing just what she wanted during the day and not a lot of hustle and bustle. It is possible for a bride to take in what’s around her, and have a peaceful and reflective day during her intimate wedding.
As we were trying to create a picture for ourselves to start styling, we envisioned a relaxed thoughtful bride who wanted to enjoy her venue, the scenery and her favorite hobby/past time: painting. The Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum has a classic, romantic presence and is perfect for anyone who appreciates history, art & design, and a pretty view of Lake Michigan!
Instead of having a cocktail hour at a more intimate wedding, our team decided to have a wedding brunch. We filled the table with a combination of breakfast, fresh fruits, and Italian-inspired foods. Do so while enjoying the views of the lake and enjoy each other’s company. The cake was wonderfully curated to mimic brush strokes and streaks of paint. It has a fine coat of gold flecks that outline the layers of ruffles, complimenting the richness and flavor of the cake. Savor the day- savor the moment.
Hnubhli Designs styled our bride’s hair in loose curls to match her whimsical gown. Her makeup was effortlessly done to compliment the uniqueness of the bride and of the venue itself.
This color palette was chosen to bring out the natural colors of the venue and highlight the bright, yet calm mood of the bride. As shown through the dainty floral arrangements, the light pinks and yellows cohesively pop out against the darker tones of the stones and textures around the Villa Terrace; the different hues of blue add dimension and a sense of boldness- just like any creative painter out there.”
