Bathed in Maui’s golden light and surrounded by sweeping ocean views, Alex and Maria’s wedding at Gather on Maui was an effortless celebration of island beauty. Their day embraced everything that makes a destination wedding in Wailea so irresistible – swaying palms, warm sunshine, the Pacific stretching toward the horizon, and a celebration designed to feel fresh, joyful, and completely at home in its surroundings.
A citrus-inspired palette brought vibrant shades of orange and yellow into the day, with bright florals, grapefruit and lemon accents, crisp white tablescapes, and touches of tropical green creating a playful take on island elegance. Against Maui’s natural palette of blue water and lush greenery, the saturated colors felt especially alive – colorful without overwhelming the landscape that inspired them.
Alex and Maria exchanged vows during an intimate lawn ceremony overlooking the water before wandering the property for portraits in the warm evening light. As the sun disappeared over Maui, the celebration shifted into an equally romantic evening beneath string lights and candlelight.
