A Vibrant Destination Wedding at Lake Coatepeque in El Salvador

Fiorella and Cam’s wedding was more than a celebration – it was an invitation to experience El Salvador. With the help of local wedding planner Jimena Palacios, the couple created an unforgettable wedding week filled with volcano hikes, traditional pupusa parties, mariachi music, and meaningful moments shared with their favorite people. Their celebration culminated at Hotel Cardedeu, overlooking the extraordinary volcanic landscape of Lake Coatepeque, where tropical beauty and Salvadoran hospitality provided the perfect setting for their destination wedding.

The couple envisioned a celebration that felt effortlessly elegant, modern, and deeply connected to its surroundings. Warm earth tones met soft peach, blush, and cream, accented by terracotta, burnt orange, and golden yellow. Lush tropical florals, organic textures, and contemporary details complemented the lakeside setting, while the wedding party embraced an eclectic mix of colorful dresses, patterned fabrics, and relaxed tailoring. Even the smallest details carried personal meaning, including handmade ceramic wedding favors lovingly created by the bride herself.

Throughout the week, Fiorella and Cam made space for experiences that celebrated both their love and the culture of El Salvador. A candlelit welcome dinner at the bride’s family home overlooked the San Salvador skyline, while a sunset pupusa party brought guests together for traditional Salvadoran food and a playful piñata. On the wedding day, a dear friend officiated their ceremony, beginning with a meditation that invited everyone to be fully present. Later, the reception transformed into a spectacular Carnaval, complete with colorful masks, festive accessories, and a whimsical outfit change featuring layers of pink and orange tulle. From the quiet intimacy of their ceremony to the exuberant energy of the dance floor, their wedding was a beautiful reflection of everything they wanted to share with the people they love.
