There’s no denying the glamour of the Gatsby era! These two lovebirds certainly embody the charming sophistication of that time with their incredible style- you just have to take one look at the bride’s dazzling Jenny Packham wedding dress to see that!
Against the backdrop of the most romantic garden setting in Kauai, the chic duo celebrated their union and, in a move worthy of any great love story, the groom even pulled out a guitar to serenade his beautiful bride! Luckily for us, Sea Light Studios was there to capture every magical detail.

From Sea Light Studios: Shannon and Stephen’s intimate, vintage-inspired wedding was a dream for us to photograph. The details and personal style they brought to their wedding day was just exquisite. The bride’s dress by Jenny Packham, fit her body like it was made for her. The detailed beaded embroidery, flattering neckline and open back created such an elegant look for our stunning bride! As for Stephen, our handsome groom, no detail was left unnoticed in his effort to ensure that he was looking his best for his bride. His Brooks Brothers suit and over all look, inspired by the Great Gatsby, left him looking and feeling stylish and handsome.
They decided to marry at the lush Lawai Tropical Botanical Gardens located on the south shore of Kauai. The Big Valley ceremony site was about a 20 minute bus ride into the center of the gardens, which really makes for an adventure. The ceremony site was elegantly decorated with two large floral arrangements to frame the aisle, along with white fabric to dress the chairs and orchids down the aisle leading Shannon to her dapper groom.
The magical setting under the large monkeypod tree, covered in green vines, created a breathtaking location for this couple and their dearest of family and friends to witness their ‘I do’s’. The couple asked all of their guests to dress in black, which added to the formal affair and the look of their special day. After their ceremony, we photographed their fine art photos around the gardens and the lush green atmosphere it provided. We then headed to a nearby beach in Poipu to catch the warm light of the setting sun. We adore our lovely couple to say the least – their love for each other, their wonderful personalities and their impeccable style created a dream wedding for us to photograph.
