from the photographer: “Angela and D’Arcy are from Canada but are getting married in Hawaii! They wanted to capture their engagement photos on the stunning island of Maui to tie into their tropical wedding celebrations. We did their session on the beaches of Wailea and were greeted by the most dreamy golden hour. The setting sun looks so beautiful captured on Portra 400 film. After their engagement session on the beach we hopped on the Pride of Maui in Maalaea harbour and enjoyed a sunset dinner cruise & luau. We watched the sun dip behind the horizon line as we enjoyed fresh food, an open bar and luau! The sprawling observation deck offers a 360-degree views of the coast, so we knew we had to take some photos on the top deck. Angela is also a floral designer at Lovella Lifestyle and she designed her own bouquet for her engagement photos! She sourced fresh flowers from the local flower farm, Petaloom Floral. The fresh florals against the blue Hawaiian waters creates the most beautiful color palette drenched in that golden glow from the Maui sunset. Watching a live hula at sunset off the coast of Maui was the perfect way to end the night. Thank you so much for considering this submission!”
