How can so much inspiration come from the sea? This moving and feeling body of water has the power to bring us great peace or the power of great waves and destruction, and yet we keep coming back to it for rest and inspiration. Today we take a trip to O’ahu for some tropical inspiration from Hawaii.
from the photographer: “This bridal elopement was inspired by the colors, movement, and organic nature of the sea. Set on the shores of O’ahu, this elopement was shot just past sunrise. The ocean’s gentleness, beauty, and grace, yet steadfast strength and wisdom is mirrored in the ballerina bride. The first look is a custom gown from Miyuki Liem Bridal in Hawai’i, a dreamy, shimmery sheath dress that reflects the sparkle of the sea. The second look is a more casual option, soft and delicate. The simple tablescape pulls elements from the sea as well, in the form of shells, glass floaters, moss, and the organic centerpiece created solely from foraged white bougainvillea by Love Letter Weddings. The perfect simple setup for an elopement or beach bride.”
