You’re about to be hit with a visual blast of amazingness! When we saw this editorial come across our submissions desk, I think we uttered an audible ‘ohhhh’ at the beauty that this amazing team captured alongside the sea at Cape Yamu. The clean and romantic design, juxtaposed against those amazing ocean blues just has all the vibes of a tranquil wedding along the sea. And that ceremony design? In the water? Be still, my heart!
from photographer, Laura Sponaugle: “Tucked away on Phuket’s very tranquil east coast, you will find Ocean’s 11 Villa in Yamu Village. Resting peacefully on Cape Yamu with the incomparable scenery of Phang Nga Bay and the Andaman sea, it is no doubt a picturesque escape.
The inspiration for this piece came from the calm waters of the Phang Nga Bay, the tranquil colors of the Thai landscape and the serenity and perfect romance that you find in the tropical land and the gorgeous islands.
The bride and groom meet on the terraced garden and soaked in the natural environment, walking the grassy stairs all the way down to the sea. Just before the ceremony, the couple takes a moment to enjoy the vistas by the infinity pool. The pale yellow flowers mimic the sunglow through the palms.
As the sun sets, the light plays with beautiful pastels.
The ceremony in the water signifies a rebirth and a joining together as one. Their reflections dance below while the mountain backdrop beckons for adventure.
This day was undoubtably filled with a vision of romance. It was actually perfect that the day ended with an incredible tropical storm that swept through the ceremony and reception location. There is no better spot than the perch on top of a mountain to enjoy the forces of mother nature, surrounded by your loved ones.”
