Hey guys- almost the end of the week already, can you believe it? Anyway, today, I have some dreamy island inspiration for you- here’s the board:

The soft pink and white palette sets a romantic tone, as does a mixture of charming vintage details (the gorgeous shabby-chic desk and the birdcage) and classically elegant touches (the chiavari chairs on the white, sandy beach and the über-chic table décor).
Natural elements such as the urchin seashell, pampas grass and tropical orchids are a perfect fit for this beach setting. The lovely pink ombre wedding cake with it’s textured design of lace and soft, ruffled waves, further lends to the air of delicate beauty.
The Flowers

These flowers are great choices for a wedding in an idyllic, tropical setting- (left to right) bougainvillea, cymbidium orchids, hibiscus, plumeria and dendrobium orchids.
The Wedding Dress

For this romantic aesthetic, I picked out dresses that are light and flowing with very feminine silhouettes. Even though these designs would suit the outdoors just as well as the indoors, none of them are too causal either- perfect for the bride who wants a glam island-chic style.
The Hairstyle

The warm tropical climate is always a factor to consider when thinking of a hairstyle for your big day. I kept mine simple with an updo but a loose side braid is a nice alternative for those with long to medium-length hair.

There are so many styling options available but I find that updos tend to have a greater range in design, allowing for more flexibility with all lengths of hair.

Of course, there’s always the classic ballerina bun!
The Shoes

There are loads of stylish bridal wedges, sandals and flats for brides who are having their wedding outdoors. If you need high heel options instead, take a look here.
Hope you enjoyed that, I sure did (my ‘girly girl’ side rejoiced!). I am really looking forward to featuring other types of wedding styles in a tropical context- if you have a particular idea you would like to see fleshed out in a post- let me know, I would love to help!
