Best of 2015: Wedding Dresses

There were so many gorgeous wedding dresses and ensembles to obsess over this year! Without fail, BW brides blew us away with their elegant, stylish choices and judging by the sheer number of pinned wedding dresses from our Real Weddings, it looks like you, our dear readers, have been just as impressed!  Here are a select few of our favourites from 2015:

Colored Wedding Dresses

The love of colour continued this year and we were especially enamored of the unusual deep navy ‘Mona Lisa’ by Sareh Nouri.  Times are shifting however, and more brides are showing a preference for sticking  to classic ivory and white. It will be interesting to see what trends will emerge next year. We predict a slew of pretty gowns in Pantone’s Colours of The Year- Serenity and Rose Quartz- in upcoming editorials.

Classic Wedding Dresses

Across the industry the much heralded ‘return to the classics’ was especially evident in the wedding dress choices of brides. An interesting outcome of this trend is that more and more destination couples are choosing formal looks for their beach weddings. Designers fulfilled this demand for classic looks by featuring many timeless, elegant gowns with modern details and silhouettes in their collections. Iconic brands such as Lazaro and Vera Wang continue to be favoured strongly.
